- Storm BrewingTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Mixed weather today, which meant some interesting clouds just before sunset.

- Fiery SwirlsTaken with the Canon 70-200. The neighbour's house & satellite dishes obscured the main part of the sunset clouds today, but I managed to get a tele shot through them to highlight the body of the biggest cloud.

- Darkness OvercomeTaken with the Tamron 28-75.

- Trolley TrainTaken with the Tamron 28-75. While waiting for June's (delayed) flight to arrive, I wandered around Stansted Airport, taking photos of anything that looked interesting. Stupid me left the lens on MF for the first 10 shots (doh!), but I noticed in time to take this shot down the handles of the baggage trolley train.

- My Room ... On Drugs!Taken with June's Peleng 8mm fisheye. Yes, this pit really is where I live! The weird effect was just me messing around with some new filters, and this one seemed funky :o)

- SunburstTaken with the Tamron 28-75. More impressive looking clouds outside my window. It's definitely the season for great clouds & sunsets!

- Tunnel Of FuzzTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Trying to do something slightly different here, but high iso and low light means shallow DoF and lotsa grain. I'll have to remember to reshoot this idea another time during better light...

- Fisheye MirrorTaken with the Canon S40. Walking onto the tube platform this morning, I realised that the mirrors on the linking tunnels would be perfect for a photo, so whipped out the p&s and took a quick snap.

- ContrastingTaken with the Tamron 28-75. It's not always as obvious as it first appears...

- Fan MeshTaken with the Tamron 28-75.

- Bulk StampsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. This is a pile of 'save the date' cards that we posted today, to all the (UK) invitees to our wedding :D The shot was hue-rotated (the stamps are actually gold) to make the envelopes stand out more.

- Top Of The BlockTaken with the Canon S40.

- Smoker?Taken with the Canon S40. Clouds + chimney = nice illusion :o)

- End Of The DayTaken with the Canon S40. Met an old friend from uni today, at the pub in the station. Always nice to have a few beers with someone I've not seen in a while, and catch up on all the things that've been happening since we last met.

- Raindrops On LeatherTaken with the Canon S40. Another wet day, so I decided to take a photo of my rain-splattered jacket. Shooting yourself in the rain with a p&s cam leads to bad focusing, I now know! ;o)

A - Russian EngineeringTaken with the Tamron 28-75. My new Zenitar 16/2.8 fisheye finally arrived today - and the manual is only in Russian! Time to dig out those 'Learning Russian' books I bought a few years ago...

B - Fishing In The GardenTaken with the Zenitar 16mm Fisheye. The fisheye effect isn't as strong as the Peleng 8mm that June has, but it's still noticable if you play with it. Otherwise, this is a damn good general purpose wideangle (on a crop camera that is).

- Escape!Taken with the Tamron 28-75. In the Wellcome building of the Science Museum in London, there's a lot of mood lighting, including this stretch of walkway leading to the lifts, which I managed to snap while two girls dashed past.

- Lost LightsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. This was originally going to be a traditional long-exposure shot of head & taillights on a road at night, but I noticed these weird reflections/lens flares/whatever, and decided to play around with them, ending up with this rather bizarre duotone effect. Messy, but I like it... even though I'm not sure why...

A - Ornamental TrashTaken with the Canon S40. As I was walking to the tube station this morning, I noticed this takeaway carton that'd been left on one of the garden walls. Normally I wouldn't have given this a second glance, but something caught my eye and made me doubleback. For some unknown reason, someone had left a flower very neatly on the top of the container! Perhaps they were paying their respects to a truly tasty kebab? :o)

B - All That RemainsTaken with the Canon S40. While walking thru the Baker Street area, looking for a pub, my friend pointed out that the old Abbey National building had been pulled down. All that was left is the frontage and the central tower, which are presumably listed or somesuch. I wonder what building will be built there, and how it will incorporate these old features...

- Red Sky In The Evening...Taken with the Tamron 28-75. Before you ask, I was experimenting with my new R72 IR filter :o)

- Breakfast Of ChampionsTaken with the Canon S40. OK, not breakfast, morelike dinner :o) But what better than a pleasant night out with old friends, chatting about the past & the present, over a (good) couple of beers?

- A Pink RoseTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite.

- SpikyTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Had a haircut today :D

- Mysterious "Stranger"Taken with the Zenitar 16mm Fisheye. June + blanket = great photo :D

- Wine Glass ViewTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Same setup as June's PaD for today, but she hogged the camera during the sunset, so I only got the last few glimmers of the setting sun (and it was raining too, hence the droplets). Still, the shot didn't work out so bad, and the wine was tasty ;o)

- Jumpin' JacksTaken with "June's" new Lensbaby 2.0 (I bought it as a gift for her ;o) ). I was just messing about with the lens when June started goofing around, so I quickly shot while moving the sweet spot (& focus) around, in the hope that one of the shots would be salvagable... and this was that one!

- Eerie EntityTaken with the Tamron 28-75. I'm starting to experiment more with random ideas, and came up with this one more by chance than planning - shooting handheld in bulb mode, with the R72 IR filter on (manual focus on infinity), aimed roughly at my room's bulb, and seeing what I get back. Then a bit of fun with hue&sat, and here we are! :o)

- Fiery BreathTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. I've been thinking about doing this shot for at least the last 6 months, and only now finally got round to trying it :o) It's not quite how I want it, since I've only got a maglite to work with, but I like it all the same.

- CurvatureTaken with the Tamron 28-75.

- Glowing GreenTaken with the Tamron 28-75. The lights on one of my network switches, glowing away in the dark.
