- Flying AwayTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Just one of a couple of pigeons, flying away from our chimney stack...

- VentTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A random shot of an exhaust vent for our boiler... I guess I just like the shapes and patterns of industrial-looking features :o)

- Burning RainTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A 1 second exposure of the gloomy weather outside, rain falling, but with motion blur (camera panned down) to really emphasise it.

- Hair & SpinTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Since I was visiting my folks today, I used the opportunity to try taking some more shots of our dog. However, it's a gloomy day and I didn't have my flashgun, so all the shots were long exposures, and the dog didn't stay still either :o/ However, I did manage to get this one shot that I like :o)

- The Small RoomTaken with the Tamron 28-75. I just noticed the lighting in here, and in combination with the colour of the walls etc just seemed to work. Yes, it is the smallest room of the house, but I kept the rest of that out of frame for a reason ;o)

- El GringoTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. Since hats seem to be the theme of the day, I decided to take this shadowy shot of myself wearing mine :o) And yes, I really do need to have a shave ;o)

- Stormy SkiesTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Just before sunset, the clouds started building up again, which with the sun hitting the houses opposite made for a good contrast.

- Bubble Wrap BluesTaken with the Canon 18-55. I've still got bubblewrap lying around from the protection I put around the cameras for the US trip, and was just messing around with it when I got this shot. And yes, this is the first time I've used the 18-55 in many months :o)

- Metallic WeaveTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX Speedlite. Shiny fabrics rule :o)

- Negative NegativesTaken with the Tamron 28-75. For those that have met me and have seen my crazy 8-lens 35mm compact camera, the Oktomat, this is the kinda negatives it produces - two rows of four shots, all within a 35mm frame. Funky, no? :o)

- Look Into My Eyes...Taken with the Tamron 28-75. June, eyeing up my 20D as usual... ;oP

- Walking PastTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A long exposure shot taken in the lobby area of our hotel, with people walking past, trying to keep out of the rain that was bucketing down outside.

- Apple ShotTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. June with an apple, taken as a possible 'Apple' challenge entry, but the only internet access in the hotel was in an inet cafe with no means of uploading the images :o/ Fun shot to take nevertheless, not worked with a model before ;o)

- DownpourTaken with the Canon S40. It rained a lot. Constantly, in fact. For days!!!

- Sand, Sea, SkyTaken with the Tamron 28-75. On the beach in front of the hotel, taken during the only hours of (hazy) sunshine that we had the entire trip :o/

- AsleepTaken with the Tamron 28-75. June, catching a few hours sleep during our (very not) hectic holiday...

- Drifting AwayTaken with the Tamron 28-75. One of the many small boats we flew over on the heli flight transfer to the airport. I wanna PPL(H) now!! :o)

- Green GoodnessTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. The bottle of aftersun gel that June kindly gave me has been a real godsend when it comes to my sunburn!

- Sandal BurnsTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. Yes, I managed to burn just part of my feet since I was wearing sandals outside all the time, thus I have lovely red patches contrasting against my normal pale skin. At least this sunburn doesn't hurt...

- A-PeelingTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. The sunburn has finally started to cool off, and has become itchy & peeling instead of the burning agony it was a few days ago - Respect the sun, kids! This is not a fun experience..

- Ripcord?Taken with the Tamron 28-75. Lying in the bath, staring at the walls, light switch cord hanging against the tiles...

- PurplesTaken with the Tamron 28-75. It always amazes me how simple things like a plastic jug in front of a tablelamp can create such colourful near-abstract images...

- Just One More NeededTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. I've been bingeing on StarWars recently - I saw ep1 two nights ago on TV, ep3 in the cinema last night, and eps 2,4,5,6 on DVD tonight :o) I just need the latest one on DVD to complete my set! (My copy of ep1 is a US disc, the rest are UK, if you're curious about the spine differences).

- Portable StairsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. An unusual perspective on a set of aeroplane stairs, taken at Stansted Airport while waiting at the depature gate.

- Fisheye MirrorTaken with the Tamron 28-75. At one of the viewpoints on the Amalfi Coast road, I saw this mirror - used for seeing around the tight bends of the road for oncoming traffic - and had to take a photo of it. If you look carefully, you should be able to make me out, and the road behind me.

- Old NewsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped off in the middle of nowhere to take some shots of an abandoned farm building, amougst other things, where I spotted this old newspaper fragment in the grasses.

- Fade To BrownTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. A semi-macro shot of the (formerly green) flowers that have been slowly dying over the past week.

- Water PipeTaken with June's Canon 10-22. Just one of the many random shots I took today, experimenting with the wide end of June's lens, since I've got it on loan for a few days.

- Bottled VortexTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and Canon 420EX SpeedLite. Just messing around with a bottle of rum, I noticed that it created a great vortex/whirlpool when shook up, which I managed to get on camera after many attempts.

- In The ZoneTaken with June's Canon 10-22. Yes, it's that Lomo poster again (see 11th March), but this time with a crash-zoom to draw the eye into the centre.

- Old Big NoseTaken with June's Canon 10-22 and the built-in flash. I was back home at my parents today, so used the chance to get another shot of our dog. I had to use the flash coz he really wouldn't sit still for long, making for very blurry shots (like my previous attempt earlier this month).
