- Classic DropTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. My first ever attempt at the classic stopped-motion shot of a waterdrop hitting a liquid surface, and I think it went rather well. Yes, I know the focus on the droplet itself is off, but I was having enough difficulty getting the drops to fall in the middle of the bowl, let alone on the focal sweet spot! Maybe next time...

- Blood BubblesTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. I'll leave this one as a mystery macro... :o)
Hint: It's kinda related to one of my PaD shots from Feb 2005...

- The Konador ShotTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. A shot directly inspired by / paying homage to / ripped off from Konador... It's the inside of a washing machine, with the signature blue toning that Ben seemed to use so much :o)

- Avenue of LightTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A long exposure shot of the grounds in front of the London Eye (in the background), on the south bank of the Thames next to Waterloo.

- FadedTaken with the Tamron 28-75. I spotted these old stickers while wandering around a random part of Camden's markets, so naturally took a photo.

- No Smoking 'EreTaken with the Tamron 28-75. The sunlight coming in the bus windows cast the shadow of the 'no smoking' sign onto my neck... but I must confess, this shot was actually taken by Chiqui74, rather than myself!

- Docking PadTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A darkened room with just the light from the Rio Karma docking bay, which really does glow this bright shade of blue. Even funkier, it can be set to pulse along to the music in playback mode :D

- Movement #1Taken with the Tamron 28-75. First photo of a set of three today, because I couldn't decide between any of them, and they're all kinda linked.

- Movement #2Taken with the Tamron 28-75. Second photo of today's set.

- Movement #3Taken with the Tamron 28-75. Third photo of today's set.

- Single Pink RoseTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. It's one of my housemate's birthday today, so there's fresh flowers around - perfect for someone who can't think of anything better to shoot :o)

- Pressure ButtonsTaken with the Sigma 50mm. A macro shot of the underside of my mobile (or "cell") phone's keypad, which push on the touchscreen below. Even though I've had this phone (Ericsson R380i) for well over 4 years now, it's still going strong, and I still haven't found a need to replace it with a newer and flashier model...

- Photo FlagTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A simple shot to set up - just turn off the lights, focus on a poster, set for long exposure, and light with a torch (flashlight). Turned out better than I thought it might, hence it's here for all to see :o)

- Metal LandscapesTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. I'd accidentally dropped a roll of tinfoil earlier in the day, and of course half the roll unwound onto the floor, so I scavenged the unusable bit and took a photo of the scrunch :o) The blue colour was another accident - I'd left the whitebalance on 'indoor' rather than 'flash', but it works nicely.

- Left JabTaken with the Tamron 28-75 and the Canon 420EX SpeedLite. Piece of advice, when pretending to throw a punch at the camera, don't actually hit the lens ;o)

- JTaken with the Tamron 28-75. I'd never noticed the shape of the shadow that my doorhandle casts onto the door until today - and I've only been living in this room for 18 months...!

- GlowTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A simple shot of a small orange coloured (and scented) candle, using manual focus and a bit of crash zoom.

- Zombie EyesTaken with the Tamron 28-75, Canon 420EX SpeedLite, and Lomo ColourSplash flash. After distasterously hand-firing the 420EX into my eyes (I still have bright patches in my vision as I type this), I decided to fire a 2nd smaller flash (the lomo) to get the dual iris effect. The colours are just funky too :o)

- First DandelionTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A gorgeously sunny day today, so I made the most of it and went outside into the garden to look for PaD shots (first time this year, pretty much). The garden's in a bit of state, with bindweed and ivy covering nearly everything, but it'll look so much better soon. This dandelion will hopefully be the first of many splashes of colour out there.

(#1) - Flown OverTaken with the Canon 70-200. Three photos for today, because it's one of the first sunny days of the year (even better than yesterday!), and I want to make the most of it :o) A small twin engine plane buzzed over the garden, so naturally I took some shots at full zoom. What I didn't notice until afterwards was the side door was open, and on close inspection you can see a cable coming out - it's a parachuting drop plane!

(#2) - Abandoned ShellTaken with the Canon 70-200. Yes, I know, I'm shooting near-macro shots at 200mm from 2m away - silly stuff, but it just looked so good!

(#3) - Outdoor RelaxationTaken with the Canon 70-200. A sneaky shot of one of my housemates, taken from inside the kitchen doorway at full zoom.

- Standing In The LightTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Why did I shoot this shot? The truth is out there... :o)

- Summer On The UndergroundTaken with the Canon S40. Sitting on one of the benches in the southbound Victoria Line platform at Oxford Circus, waiting for the next tube.

- Visiting The PastTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A candid shot of June taken while we were wandering around one of many church graveyards in the Cotswolds in the process of looking for possible DPChallenge entries.

- ShadowlightTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Another shot of June, this time taken in a bar in Chinatown. There were all sorts of reflections bouncing around, and one happened to highlight the right side of her face (lotsa contrast & levels work helped too). I did have another PaD up for a while for today, but that was just incase I didn't get "permission" to use this one ;o)

- About To SurfaceTaken with the Sigma 50mm and the built-in flash. My first idea was to photograph the froth on a freshly-poured cola, but it died too quickly for me to get the shot I wanted, so I started to play with manually swirling the cola around with the macro lens focused on the waterline, and managed to capture this moment of three large bubbles rising to the top.

- Head ShoomsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. A mad crashzoom shot of one of my housemates, with a colourbalance & hue change and a little levels & contast work. This is your brain, and this is your brain on drugs...

- SunbeamsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Heavy clouds in the evening, but with one or two holes where the last remaining daylight streamed through.

- CloudbreakerTaken with the Tamron 28-75. The drive down to my grandparents was mostly clear and sunny, apart from when we went over the Dartford crossing, which was in fog! Since I wasn't driving, I was able to get a shot of the chimney stack of the powerstation, with the fog billowing around and below it.

- Rooftop VigilTaken with the Canon 70-200 and the Canon 1.4x Tele. I noticed this blackbird just sitting on the garage roof next door, so quickly got my long lens & tele out and managed to lean out of the window enough to get a clear shot - seconds afterwards while I was checking this shot on the LCD the bird flew away...

- Unopened EggsTaken with the Tamron 28-75. Two of my remaining Easter eggs, still wrapped. I thought I'd immortalise the moment, since they won't last very long ;o)
